Creating Gradient Abstract Art in Photoshop

In this tutorial I will give a demonstration on how to Edit and artistically created abstract images with gradients. Open a new file in Photoshop with a transparent page. It does not matter the size, I used 500 X 600.
Next, click on the gradient tool in the toolbar, and choose whatever design you'd like. I used the star and circle gradient model. Make sure mode is set to "difference," then draw a series of lines across the the canvas, creating unique looking gradients. Do this as much as you like until you get a unique pattern you like. Here is mine after quite a few line strokes.
Now you can press Ctrl+I to invert if you'd like. After this you want to make a duplicate layer and flip it horizontally. You should choose screen as a blending option. You should get an effect that looks something like this:
Now you can press Ctrl + U and began manipulating the color. I chose blue, and after playing around with the gradient a little more, I got this. Looks like a flower if you ask me. Well, play around with this a little more and see what kind of effects you can make. Gradient are fun, aren't they?
