At the launch of Mangalocity.com we will be launching five different art related contests, one of which will be the Mangalocity Mascot Contest!
As a new online community, we feel that it will be necessary for to build an online mascot that will properly represent our company, our concept, and our vision. And to make it even better, we will give online artists the chance to compete in our contest with no submission fee!
The winner of this contest will receive $75.00 cash or a free Mp3 player courtesy of Mangalocity.com!
The winner of the Mangalocity Mascot Contest will also have a chance to enter into a license agreement with Mangalocity.com. Participants are to submit a character that they feel would make an excellent mascot for our online site. The character is to be rendered and emailed as an attachment. The size of the work needs to be 780x664 or 203kb. Artists should write a brief description describing why they chose the character they chose, and what traits and attributes this character has that they feel will properly represent Mangalocity.com. The character must be science fiction based and must be rendered in Poser.
Participants are to fill out the submission form here at Mangalocity.com, after which an auto email will be sent notifying them that they have been entered into the contest. Once you recieve this email, simply email your work to mascotcontest@mangalocity.com where it will be uploaded into our online contest gallery to be judged by our panel of judges.
Mascots not only add spirit to sporting events, but a well-designed mascot is a visible reminder of your team wherever it goes- parades, television shows, or competitions. This is also true of large businesses.
Mickey Mouse is the mascot of Disney, and Mario the mascot of Nintendo. Companies around the world are known through their mascots, and as a growing business, we to would like to a have a mascot which is the very voice and essence of our company.
